I welcome you Mom of my life
and hope you will be happy here,
In this here circle warm of heart,
you'll meet my friends so dear.

Don't be afraid to make mistakes,
just write your words from heart.
They'll understand and if they don't,
then they are the ones not smart.

For words, been written from within,
they speak a universal tongue
and if they're spelled not quite alright,
their meaning will be never wrong.

As you have planned to be a hundred,
we'll be enjoying you for long time.
Some day I'll translate your little stories,
about the adventures of an old lost dime.

I know you're loving your computer,
playing bridge and roaming the net.
Getting tired of all the impressions,
yet at midnight slipping out of bed.

To see if there would be a mail
from friendly Marge, a lady sweet
Poetry will fill your lonely hours
I'm proud of you Mom, I am indeed
