we picked flowers in the talk forest
you wore some in your hair
and took some for later
to make your room smell
like what we remembered

I pushed you in the pool there
in our discussion when
you stopped to tie a shoe
but I pulled you out again
and you turned away in modesty

I had a blanket in the car I said
but my arms were closer
and you admitted you wondered how they felt
if they would they fit over and around
and would I warm you inside

could I really touch you beyond skin

Sigh.

The word 'sigh' means a lot to me, over some years it's developed its own context that extends well beyond a expellation of air...it carries texture, weight, melancholy and hope...

this poem..this poem produces such a sigh..and that one word is very heartfelt.

Thanks for this, I'm so glad I found it - going into my rarely used library..

Sometimes, you take me back...and I wonder if in real anyone is as romantic and sensual as your words always appear to be...

this one stops my heart...

Always your words can touch

DS

You are making some sighs with this lovely subject...beyond skin is something every woman longs for, I think.  One of the sighs is mine.

You do know how to catch a woman's breath DS~
But you're not about to push me in the pool,
I'm too quick for you!
You're poems are so much fun to read.

enter my soul,
feel my desire,
