twas a fireworks
from within
causing a wearing
that was thin
icy feeling
amidst the din
and when you
finally decided
to begin, the rolling
and tumbling shore
did kick in.....

spiders do fly
I'll tell ya why
cause there is no how
or feeling that yer
gonna bow....down and
kiss momma earth
for you are all
that it's worth
the crystal salt
of all that burns with
mindlessly imagined hurt.....

next time ya see this
chance to sail the
smitten sea, waters of say,
"let's just let it be"
she's so beautiful
walking the point with me
yet lurking round the bend
comin' from within
is the feeling for the friend
the one I do till the bitter end
plan that never had an implore
except the one that led to Baltimore....Mark Coburn

For some reason this reminded me of the fourth of July and watching the glorious sky light up the beach!

Cool poem!

That first stanza is fantastic! I liked it best. The flow and the rhyme were well woven.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
