***this is to a special friend***

Feather In Air

You've gone a million miles from here
Or so it feels, as I shed this lonely tear
Your love was so gentle like a feather in the air
When I fall, will you promise to be there?

I guess I should be moving on now
Just seems I can't catch a breeze somehow
My heart just loves you so very much
I miss the magic of your loving touch

What price do we pay though, when fantasy overtakes the real
When inner strength no longer serves to help and heal?
Do you feel the pain I feel, the tears that I shed
These problems must be solved, if we are ever to be wed

Tonight I rediscovered some things about me
Like a feather in the air, I held on tenderly
I traced the picture of you
Wondering where we go now what do we do?

Then something happened, on this silent night
I closed my eyes, greeted by the brightest light
The eyes of an Angel looked into mine
Oh the sweetness of it all was divine

So now I'm not so weary, I am here to try again
Broken spirit restored by a special friend
The tears that have tracked down my face
Like a feather, are my saving grace

"you can't stop
the rain
from pouring down
can't stop the
world from turning 'round
can't stop me from
loving you
no matter
what you do"

Amy darling lil sis of my heart this was as usual for you utterly utterly wonderful. Do you know how utterly beautiful this poem is? The style is pure you, breathtakingly lovely and the execution is without doubt one of your finest ever.

If I were to enthuse all day and all night I still wouldn’t be able to describe how magnificent and what a truly outstanding piece of writing this is. YOU KNOW I LOVE IT this is absolutely exquisite writing
