Clone Me

Clone me once, and clone me twice, and clone me once again …
Duplicate my chromosomes (times six or eight or ten);
Build a dozen other me's and give them all my name,
Replicate my DNA before I go insane!

Slice a piece of me away, and send her to my work,
Let her do my job, where all the headaches creep and lurk;
Have her be the one to make decisions every day …
She can have it, I don't want it … send her on her way!

Reproduce another me, to deal with all my woes,
Then another clone to argue if the need arose;
Build a fourth that likes to drive when traffic jams occur,
How about a fifth to take the stress from me to her.

One could work out at the gym, a definite delight,
One could cook like Martha Stewart, every single night;
One could deal with family problems, worry them away,
All of this and so much more would lighten up my day.

She can have my problems, all I want is time away,
Give her all the troubles I encounter every day;
Let me write to heart's content, and find the time to love …
Let me have the peace and time that I've been dreaming of …

Clone me once, and clone me twice, and then I won't complain …
Duplicate my DNA before I go insane!

/Kit McCallum

If we could all have an army of clones we'd sure minimize the stress in our life.
I could really put my clone to work!
Fun poem~~~

(giggles in delight) Oh no, it's the "Attack Of The Clones"! LOL! This is such a wonderful delightful poem expressing the stresses of time management in life and how if only we can do so much more that we always dream of and to love our families so much more! (kiss on cheek) This is fabulous, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kit, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!'

Kit darling girl, OH MY STARS this is without doubt one of your utter best it is utterly wonderful. This poem is absolutely perfect I love it, oh how I wish there were several me’s. One to deal with trouble, one to negotiate, one to be a model of efficiency at home, cooking cleaning and other household chores. But knowing my luck they’d all be exactly like me, and not much good at all.

Truly excellent writing darling girl pace rhythm and rhyme spot on. YOU are an exceptional writer.

Love and warm stuff

I think we all relate to this one Kit. But if you are cloned, how will you know if you're coming or going? LOL

Consider yourself cloned...I have thought of this many times...if I could just have a clone to send to work when I want to go hang out at the beach...I could sure use a clone of my girlfriend because it seems like she is always working when I am available to spend time with her...oh well...life goes on without the clones...James

Good idea. A clone to do all the things you want to do or become.
And if you have one left over, send her my way.

Thanks,

That was a very fun poem! It was an enjoyable, mindless read and those are great every once in awhile! I definitely agree with you too! I liked the way the rhyme flowed. Nice work!

Oh to have a clone of me
to do the things I hate to do.
Then I could spend my time
on the fun things with you.

Just off the top of my head I enjoyed this, Kit.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Dear Kit, a wonderful poem which I munch enjoyed, it is amazing how much we do go through in just one day, let your clones do all but write for you and we can live with that.

haha, this is cute and never thought about cloning that way, so I think I would love to have some duplicates myself to handle all the sad and not nice stuff.

Thanks for the smile Kit, you are an awesome writer

Clone this girl and clone her fast!
But make sure they all write...
For I am greedy for her words -
They give this heart delight!

But do not clone me! Please, I pray
Just slice me right in two
I would finally be thin...
With half the work to do!

ROFL... Only you could turn being stressed out into such a wonderful tale! *S* I love this, Kit. *S*

If you clone you...send me two...I could use one for a muse and one for the smiles
Me thinks Kit-girlie needs a vacation...now all you have to decide is which one of you get to go... *L*

Kit,
This is you right? I'm not sure how you afford such a procedure. But I'd sure like to find some financing! Fun write and awesome idea. And my wife liked the idea even more. Not sure if she meant for cloning her or me. LOL

Thank you for all the wonderful comments everyone!  Life's still hectic at the moment, so I'm not able to thank everyone individually … but please know that I appreciate each and every one of you.

PS … I assure you … the one typing this is "me", LOL … at least I think it's "me". Nan, when I get to your place on Saturday, ask "me" something only "you and I" would know … and then if I can't answer you … send that "me" packing, and tell her to re-send the real "me".

Much appreciation to all,
/Kit
