In Our Own Sunlight and Shadows

Saturday morning calm
drenched in sunlight
cooled with night-air’s remnants.

Giant locusts stand, as rigid stalwarts,
and raise their budded arms in praise.

Shadows
craft their designs of lattice work
upon the greening lawn.

The stream lies quietly amid the reeds
bathing mosquito fish, frogs and muskrat.

I look around,
amid the budding trees, the living,
there seems to stand the dead as well.

Ringed with a girdle of white,
herbivore prevention, they seem marked for death.

How much
are we, as they,
the dead among the living, marked?

Yet, in each our own season,
shall we come, bearing fruit and life in our own spring,

in our own sunlight and shadows.

I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

BRAVO!!! This is a fabulous portrayal of springs birth, sweet friend, there are indeed things that both bloom and die in each season, but may we always honor those flowers that wither and always warmly welcome those that bloom forever! (kiss on cheek) This is excellent, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Virginia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Virginia...simply, simply marvelous...

Very good words in this....life follows the cycle of the seasons.
