how do you get a CD to play on the computer when it only comes up with extras like the new linkin park cd?

I can't find it in the files on the CD and it's no hidden

I would suggest cancelling out the "extras", then opening up whatever media player you typically use (winamp, windows media player, roxio, whatever). from that application, have it read from the cd and it should play no problem.
