A special Thank you to Auguste for letting me use his beautiful sun photo for my artwork!

In the dark of night within our souls
Where lonely thoughts are hiding
There also waits a brighter place
With strength and peace presiding...

At times it seems much easier
To stumble in the dark
Then to step into the daylight
And attempt to make our mark...

The darkness has it's comfort
When we shut the world away
An escape from imperfections
That are clear in light of day...

But were we really meant to hide
in solitude and black?
Or were we meant to meet head on
Our battles, and fight back?

To those who chance the latter course
Great victory can be won
Our obstacles seem smaller
While we're reaching for the sun...

Timing is everything,
and I really needed to read this tonight.

Thank you Sunnyone~
You rhyme so well but it's
the meaning in your words that flow.
