We complain loudly
when subjected to inconvenience
but are willing to
stand like penguins
for hours to secure freebies

Hey, that's not always true... There are people like me who do not give a hoot about what kinda freebies they are giving out.

But that first part is so true. Recalling the incident when a Mercedes Benz crashed on to the MRT tracks... All the commuters who were affected were disgruntled at the inconvenience of having to transfer from the trains to board the shuttle buses provided. There were lotsa pushing and there were those who complained that there weren't enough shuttle buses to ferry them to the next operating train station.

I am just very very amazed by the fact that these people do not stop to count their blessings, and to thank God (whatever their religions are) that their lives were not taken in the event. What if the 11 men did not hop on to the tracks to remove the wreckage, facing the dangers of an on-coming train. What if the driver was not alert enough to stop the train from smashing into the car?

Some people are just so superficial....
