Weary

My mind has slowed a weary pace
Follows the loop of dreary lace
From knot to knot and slot to slot
And sometimes is caught in a clot.

A maze of strings that holds all things
And intricate the weave it brings
It rounds and mounds in senses bounds
Until you’re lost in lost and found

I’ve stopped to see the sky of blue
I’ve stopped to see a flower new
I’ve even stopped to hear the birds
And look upon the human herds

But most of all I laugh aloud
The dark within the blinding shroud
It is a blindfold time’s delay
To keep the living on its way

For where would all the humans stay?
If change did not renew the day

What a great analogy, Sweet Sy... I think your lace isn't so terribly weary though...

Renewal, yes, but refusal, too
for these pages still call you...
a handsome brew of tea for thee..
with jam, and toast, for you, and me...

Seymour, I was going to quote a verse,
but couldn't decide which one I liked the
best......I loved the whole poem.

Heart Hugs to you,

You say your mind is weary and then put up a poem that is THIS clever and expect us to fall for it

From knot to knot and slot to slot
And sometimes is caught in a clot.

It is a blindfold time’s delay

Nan
It will perk up when it sees you.

Sunshine
You are my jam and toast.

Ethel,
And I and the whole poem love you. Hugs.

JM,
Thank you for that refreshing dip in flattery. You always fly my spirits to the sky and serve me apple pie. LOL

"If change did not renew the day ..."

Somedays we wish would never end and others can't end fast enough!!

I find as I get older, I'm not dealing well with the change.

Hugs sweet man, Marti

Awww...sorry Seymour...I have been so busy to-day, that I missed making you your morning treat. Wherever is my sister Enchantress? I am glad to see that Karilea made you tea and toast this morning. Had to find your post and ponder on it now. Awesome thoughts Seymour! A Little Late Hugs, Chris
