Statues rise, they come down
statues topple to the ground
I would have expected a harder resistance
some worship the magic of rhetorical insistance.

Mr. Minister of Information
with loudspeaker in hand
think that the old regime still chases
invaders from desert foothold bases?

Liberators from a tyrant are in your midst
how your view is clouded in mental mist
you have only to reflect on accurate facts
coalition forces entered your capital intact
instability was unleashed on familar grounds
but from your mouth came familar sounds,
'those infidels will be buried here'...
think they'd run in panic or fear?

ahh..the feeling of being off the leash
a moment of freedom after so many years
loss of dear ones and rivers of tears,
of being carted off to dogpounds
now new hope is being found.

Mr Minister of Information,
from your mouth there are no further sounds
due to bravery, your esteemed leader is not found?
would you say that he holidays now nextdoor
or seeks a facelift to hide facial horrors.

but you were so adamant of the capitol being secure
took it for granted popular support was sure;
tasted a lesson after mixing your stew
you had to hide behind civilians too.

Good to hear you gave your microphone away
walked off the podium, you had your day.

LOL at your reply, Martin..these forums can seem unforgiving at times huh?

Hi Kaile,

Inforgiving forums..I agree, but such is the case here especially for uncommon topics. Joy, no I have mixed feelings about the resulting chaos and pillaging that coalition forces should have planned for concretely before the 'liberation' began.

James,

This time around I think they've gone off to a neighbouring country or countries...this is how they're showing that the coalition forces are being chased out of Iraq.
