Swings
more reflex
than determination
fight long lost
sting of tongue
to lip split
taste of blood
metallic
corner urges
but will falters
along with legs
the thud of mat
any moment now

Manly without being macho....I just figured out your style. I like that, it equates with me, says things inside that a lot of sweeter poetry doesn't.

Any moment now~
Makes you want to lay down and rollover and sleep it off!

Although a slip lip will probably still hurt and swell up.  (split lip, edit edit)

Very dramatic vision, but remember there can always be surprises even at the 12th round ... a sudden upraise of will again.
E' una poesia "fortissima"!

Raph, you have a way of putting
your gut feelings into words. I
truly hope that things will be looking
up for you soon. I can tell when you're
really down. One way is that I don't see
you on these blue pages then. When you start
getting down and out and in such a mood
that you're wondering if things will always remain
the same, just write. You've got a lot of
friends here, friend. Remember that.
Hugs,
Ethel

(Hey, I'm really one to say to write what's deep inside your heart, aren't I?...especially the things that hurt so bad. I wish I could, though)
