Whispered within faint heart beats
I hear deafening silence,
entombed within a constrained cacophony,
drowning in discordant dream dances,
denying both life and death...
both forever backlit by
glaring lights hidden behind
these once warm candled eyes
that thought Love could overcome Hate.

The only pure light I see
resides within this darkened mind,
fullness of thought
shadowed by the knowledge
I exist forever naked
before God,
invisible to Man’s constant
myopic gaze.

My days are numbered
too few or too many,
I know not which.
But however long they be
I’ll remain true to the ME
that is found only within
my vision of
THEE.

Thank you so much for your kind reply. I already have three signed for the book, and a fourth short senryu that has been submitted, so this one is a bit late for Reflections. But I sincerely thank you for that wonderful comment!

There is a strength and sincerity to this that I really liked Kacy.  Very cool title, too.

To mirror ourselves in God's light is a wonderfully comforting thought, that gives us the strength to live fully the right number of our days.
Beautifully done.
Love, Margherita
