Each passing night
in moonlit sky
she lay's awake
with tears
that seem
to etch a trail
upon her cheek
of once upon
a time of dreams...
    
In quiet tremble
a whisper is heard
amid the swirl
of midnight breeze
a desperate plea
from her very soul
to be, if not
for a single moment
swept far away
from this
abandonded place
of yesterday's
gone and borrowed...
