I just read J.A. London's DOPPLEGANGER and Howard Bergerson's EDNA WATERFALL. I thought, WOW. I tried makin one, but it was too hard to do it by letter so i did a palindrome by line. I hope you guys think it's good.

Such a Fool

I keep on walking this cruel road,
My soul shattered.
My heart broken.
Such a fool I am.
Pouring my heart out
For someone who doesn't care.
Why do I torture myself?
Why won't my heart let me stop?
Night after night
Day after day
I keep on weeping.
Such a fool...
Such a fool.
I keep on weeping
day after day.
Night after night.
Why won't my heart let me stop?
Why do I torture myself
for someone who doesn't care?
Pouring my heart out...
such a fool I am.
My heart broken,
my soul shattered,
I keep on walking this cruel road.

Well, I am impressed...I had to go look up and remind myself what a palindrome was...
and while Im not familiar with this form of structured poetry...it didnt take away from appreciating the expressions you emoted in this write. Thats an impressive reading list you have too...I think its excellent you are being exposed to so many different influences and talent...it can only help your poetry grow. Well done poet sir

Welcome to Passions. I don't I've read you yet.  I am not well read so can't appreciate your notes as well as Janet did. Also I've no source to reference this form; wondered if you could be more specific.

Liked the content, it read smoothly.

I wonder if you know there is a poetry workshop forum here and once a month a new form of writing poetry is offered.
Think you'll really enjoy it.

Hugs to you, and I look forward to reading more of your poems.

Well, it's not really a true form. Since a palindrome is anyhing that is the same backwards and forwars (eg mom, dad), you can make a palindrome poem my making sure it is like a mirror, meaning you caould read it from top to bottom or bottom to top and it would still be the same. My palindrome is very simple because i did it by lines and phrases. Some writers make a palinedrome by letters which quite difficult. Here's a example of a palindrome phrase: A man, a plan, a canal-Panama. (if you say it backwards it still says the same thing.) If you happen to read Doppleganger or Edna Waterfall, it is much easier to understand what Im saying. Im never good at explaining things(which is why my Open Ended Responses for English Honors stinks like a wet dog) so I hope you can get the jist of my ramble
