For far too long I wore a mask To fool others that All was well - I was fine - No need to worry - I'll fix that - Let me help - Sure I can - No, it's no bother - I don't mind - No offence taken - My feelings aren't hurt - My heart isn't broken - Scared? Not me!! But masks get old, their smiles fade, and slowly they fall to pieces exposing the truth. What a blessing!! I can breathe without being afraid to exhale. I am stronger I am happier I can give love I am loved - Even more because - The real of me is now. ~~~~~~ . . . For over 22 years (until he died), I had to be exactly the way he wanted me to be, and felt that he didn't love me if I wasn't. . . My Love now "loves me even more, because the real of me is now". He wants me to be Ethel and no-one else....and he loves me just the way I am. It amazes me, sometimes, to have someone love me this way. Thank you for sharing your heart with us. Heart Hugs, Ethel |
