Illusion of Reality

Hidden in dream
I sought the illusion of reality
the heat of an impassioned heart
the voice of angels to sing the words . . .
the words
that swell my soul,
the words
I’ve yet to give away,
the words
I now must say,
for thou has given life to dreams,
thou has given wings
to this heart inside
trying to loose itself
and fly to thee.

I saw a flower
and a butterfly,
or thought I did
till you smiled at me,
then all I saw was you,
and the words flew from inside of me. . .

I lay this rose
where once we stood,
where the words I filled so full of life
met their demise with but one from you,
where now I stand hidden in dream
seeking the illusion. . .
the illusion of reality.

Lauren~

Through the darkness
I can see your light
And you will always shine
And I can feel your heart in mine

I will remember you

your title set me thinking..interesting how it can seem an oxymoron at times

where the words I filled so full of life
met their demise with but one from you,
