There, In the Garden

One knee upon the stone,
One knee upon the moss.
Two feet beyond the throne;
One heart to give the cross.

In the garden, flowing tears,
On His brow drops of blood.
Set aside His human fears
As He shed His perfect love.

He cried a lover’s prayer
To the Father of us all.
Conquered, full well, Satan’s lair,
Atoned, at last, for Adam’s fall.

On the third day of His pain
Neath crimson skies edged in mauve
He rose to eternal reign
By the love and power of our God.

Virginia, this is so beautiful. I always
cry when I think of how Jesus prayed until
His sweat was as drops of blood. And then He
died for us..but now HE LIVES!!
