Look into the eyes
of your child
Your son
The one who bears your name . . .

he knows , oh yes , he knows . . .

The midnight moon
she does not lie
Not to me , no
For she sees
what you hide
behind your eyes
blinded . . .

Your head down
face turned away
from my own

Why can't you look me in the eye?

The stars smile
solace they bring
As angels stand silent guard
over what we made
together

ONCE
UPON
A
     TIME . . .

This is painful ... but there is hope that things might change ... as you talk so openly.
Very deep poem!

Little one...
it is not always easy
for them to acknowledge truth...
which is probably why
women live longer...

Very good...

You never have to worry about whether it is clear you write from your heart.  Your poignant expressions of "heartpain" is obvious!  A life lesson is that only through time's telescope can we see someone who went away, and that we are better off for it.  Ken

Why isn't there a license for parenting? Should have to take courses and pass all sorts of psyche tests before they're allowed
to

Sue, sometimes they don't realize
what they're losing until they've
already lost it. He probably can't
look you in the eye because he doesn't
want to admit that he knows what he's
lost. He knows that you know the eyes
tell the truth.
This one hurts.
Bless you, dear friend, with the
raising of your child.
