a short torrid affair
it was to be
the woman was young
she know not what she do
the man was old
he was always drying the glue
her eyes danced like marionettes
and his looked like weathered roadmaps
and yet he could see the nations
of beauty
that she wove under her braids
as clearly as a diamond
she would tinker with his crutch
in a roundabout kind of way
and when he poured for her a drink
it was as clean as a whistle
and built like a mathematician

in each others arms
they could be found
above them
vinyl spinning like the spider
candles sinking under the horizon
fading like a wounded moon
into the dusk of our twilight
almonds and cherries
baste between the murmurs
the rustling of cool cotton
while two souls intertwine
below the crisp cackle
of the cruel, cold world outside

Your poetry is like a camera--with an attitude.

more admiration from me to you.

Talk about the roads less travelled. What a map!

Just a fine, fine penning.

And an equally fine read.
