Sometimes-
There is Nothing to Write About.

The wren;
slick with remnants of night's hand
weighing heavily upon her breast,
beak closed, housing a silence,
her ears join a leaf's crackle.
The duet heartsounds
shutter to winds quest,
revealing what the ink cannot.

The thistle;
spreading its roots greedily
among the scent of heather,
will choke finer greenery
in her attempt to exist.
As each petal appears
the will to exist grows stronger
The irony blooms,
revealing what the ink cannot.

The woman;
features pale, stature sedate,
behind weakened eyelids lives
knowledge held confidently.
Pressed upon her forehead
are decades of drama.
A lifeline of wisdom
paves her shaking palms;
scored footprints into
her soul.
Ponderance of each step
reveals what the ink cannot.

That was really pretty to read...

Waited on a line of greens and blues, just to be the next to be with you..

These are beautiful!
Sometimes when we feel we have nothing to write about ..
we write some of our best work.
These are excellent..I especially love The Woman.
Well done!

Dorene, even when there is nothing to write about, you find a way in your own unique style.

Sometimes, we ever wonder
if we can find just the word
for such moments...
we only think
the ink cannot pen them...

and then we find

magic.
