somebody's dungeon

It is the sway of tree
    with wind
sigh of natural sound.
The cushioned walk
     of nocturnals
creeping over ground.

It is the warmth of
  evening breeze
whispering across skin.
It's heaven's curtain
  darkened now,
as Luna's dance begins.

Beasts of earth,
    the heaven's glory,
in sync on darkened stage.
Sweet fall of night,
     the opening act,
when all to black does fade.

Then in a choreographed design
light does softly now decline,
and acted out while we repose,
a play in full, as we just doze,
unaware of nature's scenes
for most of us a sight unseen.

A miracle in fact,  I'd say,
       yet  lost in dreams
       so far away
we often miss
      the night's display.

Anne - this is lovely because I live for the night:

It's heaven's curtain
  darkened now,
as Luna's dance begins.

I know this much too well and here you penned the missing of it beautifully

Beautiful! I love the night .... stargazing for example. The night's whispers are magical.

Anne, I love this poem. It has so many things in it that I love....the beautiful night scenes, the perfect rhyme of words, the beautiful way that you seem to paint the picture with words...just all of it.

Heart Hugs,
Ethel

(Pssstt!! I saw that you used the little smilie you were talking about using on Toerag's poem.  LOL   It fits perfectly.)
