Merry Go Round

I have gone around and round
On a merry go round.
On a wooden horse of force
But know not of its course.

Up and down it goes in stride
The senses feel the ride.
Like a child you make believe
The end you can’t conceive.

The ride itself full of thrills
Each turn is full of spills
You guide yourself by a star
Gone the feeling of bourgeois.

Taken up in the passion
Each time has its fashion
And all the past is your host
All heady drink a heady boast

And you grab for the brass ring
Like winters last and wished for spring.

I have always believed that life is just like a merry-go-round, with it's ups and downs, and when you go down, you somehow know that there will be another up!!  Loved this Sy, it makes me young again!!!

Seymour - love the images here, as I always wanted to go on the Merry Go Round first when we went to the fair. Now it seems, my whole life has been an up and down ride...not always of joy....but interesting even so. Grab the brass ring for me will you? I'm just too darned short..lol. Where is my sister with the tea. We'll have to start our cinnamon rolls without her! hugs to you dear gentle man. Chris

Sy oh Sy...I've brass rings, two!
One for me, and one for you!
On this merry gone round I'll sing with you...
here within these pages blue!

Chris,
Cinnamon rolls sounds good to me,

Sunshine,
I'd grab the brass ring with you any day.

Sybabes...you are the brass ring!!!
and me *winkies* King *L*

I've no need of wooden horses in round ride ...
Not when I have Randy to fly me to your tides.

Seymour,
what a delightful read

And all the past is your host

~liked the way you put it

And you grab for the brass ring
Like winters last and wished for spring.

~a tinge of sadness implied, which makes the poem like fine wine

(big hugggsssssss) I feel like my whole early life was all down all the time and so I now believe that it's all up from here with only times when I;m going straight fending off some worries coming! (sigh) This is wonderful, sweet friend, I love this analogy, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
