Under the stars upon the wind

To warm my ever growing void,
I reach out in desperate search for inspiration.
But what if there is nothing to find?
I must calm my overwhelming anticipation.

My eyes are hazing over,
as I am left to pace this planet a shell.
For where do you flee to find shelter,
when you are trapped in your own personal hell?

With shaking hands I lift my flag of surrender.
There are no more tears left to cry.
As I lay myself down on the rocks of reality,
I know that from the moment I was born I must die.

Freedom is not Free (Korean War memorial)

True, but hopefully this person lets it happen naturally, not seeking to rush DEATH's hand.
Peaceful thoughts and smiles to you.
