No running around from lambs this year
Apparently no ewe got pregnant I fear
The ram's no good though beautiful white
He's called Yahoo, but not all too bright

I choosed twelf ewes to please this ram
But he didn't even come close to them
Twelf ladies willing, a perfect blind date
Now they're off season and he is too late

His sperm was taken in a lab institute
He only produced one drop this dude
The people forgot to tell me the score
He won't repoduce himself anymore

No need to tell you what I have said
But I can say it was really bad
I think the man who held the phone
Was glad he wasn't with me alone

No lambs this year, no running around
No lovely lambs with their childish sound
No income to pay for the meadow's rent
I know one place where this man should be send

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

Oh Titia, this is terrible news!
And you needed those lambs!
We all wanted one to be named after each of us too.
It was so much fun last year.
What will you do?

How sad and yet you made me laugh!
Those ewes gave no clues that the stud was a dud until it was too late! How will you handle this matter? Did that stud end up on a platter? I'm a vegetarian, so you know that end result doesn't please me too much, but I do understand farming, and what happens to duds.

Titia, Awww, that's sad news. Poor little ewes all prettied up and no male that really is interested. I do hope things get better for you. hugs, Chris

Aww Titia...
How well I know this owner's lament!
No babes for you, and the ewes are spent!
They garnered time and twitched their...nose,
But the ram was off, smelling wild rose...

Though your meter was perfect as was your wit,
You didn't say anything to cause a fit,
We can leave your post intact, there was no foul scene
Though your feelings towards the lab were none too serene!

I know your chagrin, for I've had my hands full
Of plenty of cows, but no willing bull!

Well, it's obvious which animal was named Toerag! I'm sorry, Titia, it really is sad that you will have all of those expenses for nothing. I have a wolf I can lend to you..the babies may look a little strange but the wolf is very virile and willing!!!

Oh deer a wolf!!!!!

We had one roaming our country few years back, he killed about 200 sheep.

Oh well, seems to me this one is housebroken, just send him over, or bring him yourself LOL did you train him?????

Thanks everybody, it's sad I know, but I will live and maybe I'll buy a ewe or two with lambs, don't know yet. I'll let you know

Now how about it Deer, coming yet????I'm waiting, down boy, down.

I love that picture!
The male species can be so uncooperative sometimes,
but what are you gonna do?

Those were the cutest pictures of the babies that you posted last year, I'm going to miss those.

Nice poem Titia~

This was so funny! I know it's a bad thing, but if you don't have the lambs, at least you have your sense of humor. Pity it doesn't pay the rent!

Titia, Don't accept deer's offer, after all what's a wolf in sheep's clothing but a "bloody" good liar. And if he will lie about this he'll lie about anything - including the place, eating all your food and giving nothing in return.

Good poem, I'm glad you've kept your humour about this.

I'll have to join Nan on the fence... if I don't fall off from giggling. *G* I'm very sad for your lamb situation... but you wrote of it so humorously... and by the time the big baaaaaaaad wolf joined the fray, I couldn't stop the smirks. LOL

LOL looking at the picture once more and more carefully, it seems to me Deer, that your wolf isn't doing any better than my ram!

He should be hopping up, not over, didn't you tell him about the birds and the bee's???

Your ram is gay!!! This I know to be true, for even a male shooting blanks will mount up from time to time!!
