Displaced

I'm watching from a distance and feel the ache of why.
In silence making notes to self in dreamless state, am I.
The remains of touch from hands had reached and brought me to this maze,
of ins and outs and ups and downs, a labyrinth of ways.

I circle round and always end up wanting more of time.
But shadows in the darkness tend to only lend me rhyme.
Those words that often wished were meant for me but never are,
bring me back to Earth to wonder, is distance just too far.

Perhaps, deception plays a part and I'm, myself, deceived
thinking there's someone in whom can share what I believed.
Giving up, it may be time, for all around I see
the happiness that others find but never reaches me.

I always thought that I would find, or feel again such love.
But time has worn and rhymes no longer replace the meaning of...

M

Sad, but so beautifully written.
Sometimes, even time is not enough.

Dear M, so well written that it touches deeply. This is only a temporary state believe me. I have gone through this too ... life is motion, we are never really stuck in our darkness.
Sunshine for you.

Maureen, since I've gotten behind in my reading the
beautiful poetry on here, I decided to go to some of
the pages from a few days ago. I'm finding some really
good poems I would have missed. This is certainly
one of them. I know I've probably told you before, but
you have such an ability of being able to write the
feelings inside of you.

Heart Hugs,
Ethel
