Giving Love Away

I have a love to share.
Does she want my love?
Does she care about this
love I have to share?
I heard a Christian singer
say "Love isn't love until
you give it away."

yep- my kids sing it at at school! but its a buddhist school! :O

loves just like a magic penny..hold it tight and you want have any

lend it, spend it and you'll have so many

guess that's true, but I think you can love someone who doesn't even know you love them.
Love isn't shared until it's given away.

Thank you Seraphine, Enchantress and nakdthoughts.
Nakdthoughts I believe that song is referring to the point that love is only thoughts until its acted upon.
Possibly referring to scriptures such as John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
