on the open road with the wind blowing in my hair

i painted a picture
easy as can be
i drew everybody in detail
except me
i left me a shadow
up on the wall
but when the time came for color
i didn't know what to do at all
so i mixed black and white
and made my favorite color
and i painted the world
as i see it today
in wonderful shades of grey

the only people for me are the mad ones-mad to live, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at once--jack kerouac

what an interesting portrait!
Varying shades of grey help define all the opposites/blends of black and white.

it must be nice to be able to see the world this way...makes you empathetic towards things...
