somebody's dungeon

With lack of clouds
there is no shadow upon moon,
no darkness of overcast sky.

Light shines in darkness
uninterrupted, unobstructed
a beam of light through trees.

I see at midnight by these,
small slits of space
that allow for the trace
of moon beam upon my face.

A beacon, a sign
earth in lunar align.
Spotlighted just now
is life that somehow
manages to flourish,
is miraculously nourished
by the darkness of night...

and a small taste of moonlight,
unshadowed, within my sight.

Ah yes......the moonlight makes the world into a very different place, all light beams and shadows......appreciated the artistry in this lovely read!
