Velvet I feel the velvet of your love. That oohs and coos just likes a dove. It dances me a dress ballet. It gilds the lily of my day. To walk amongst the clouds of you And weave a golden shawl of hew. Embodied with the threads of pleasure. Jewels that sparkle full of treasure How else can ecstasy persist? Except with phantoms that insist. And wiles that flower lover’s nights And dreams that hover lover’s rights What ides could gift you with these thoughts? What reigning king and all his courts Could make you fly the world with me Forever in eternity It is a dream without an end. Take this hand I do extend. |
