Note: Not an indictment of belief or religion, just a need in us for a new one
---------------------------------------------------

Magnifying glass
shadow
looming large
burning guilt
into faithful
plastic soldiers

I refuse the
march
I will not
stand in shame
under lamp
interrogated
before a creator
who remains
unseen

Nails driven
through
heart to tree
a foundation
rejecting a heaven
of empty promise

For one of our own making

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Raphael and Sue, you two speak with such truth, I am not going tomarch in favor of such a war either when He is being left out of the picture or wrongfully seized, seems the whole notion of forgiveness and turning the other cheek is tarnished with this meaningless battalion! (sad sigh) Bravo to both of you, God Bless You two, we all love you both so much! You have such beautiful hearts, sweet Sue and Raphael, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Noah - thank you so much for your kind words - I do agree with your perspective but our writing is based upon the need for  spirituality - I like your spin on it regarding the current war situation - is enlightening TY . . . xxoo

Kacy TY - you got in there while I was editing xxoo

You create heaven out of your love for justice and harmony .... and you can make your hearts the place where this heaven resides...
Beautiful co-creation!

well done, and aren't all religions off- shoots today of another...

We have so many churches in this small town at least 7 in a  3 mile range and every so many years another group is dissatisfied, breaks away and begins a new one...

Sue and Raphey, it was good to see a duet
with the talented words of the two of you together. The thoughts and feelings of both of you are very interesting. And yes, "religion" and "man-made ideas" of it can get very confusing. It's God's ideas that count. Right?

Great duet--and duo!

Let me know when you have come up with something. I'll check it out! I've been baptized in 3 different churches and am currently a free spirit! I'm still searching--but I do believe I have found the answers to many of my questions--and they have come from within!---or I channeled them! LOL

Blessings to you both!

Ethel who can say what god's ideas are? Only god. It's about spirituality not about sets of rules and dogma

Linda I'll keep you posted but then I think you're doing quite well on your own

I agree with the others. This poem is very well-written in clarity and truth. I may not agree with your version of Heaven; but your writing skills almost made me a believer.
