Lovescapes

My faithful good readers, (there must be someone?)
Will say that I mainly just write for the fun.
I tell ballad stories that perhaps will rhyme
and think they are decent; well some of the time.

But sometimes I open a door to my heart
And tell you, my friend, of how love, from the start,
Has guided my life and has given me joy,
Why almost from time past when I was a boy

I read of the hearts bared in this loving place
and know that they hold fast to love in each case.
Each speaks of a scene painted brightly with love
with words strong yet gentle that fit like a glove.

So what do we call these lines written twixt tears
that pour out the feelings and even the fears.
Their poignancy grips us and draws us in tight;
We cherish these pip friends and solace their plight.

For painters who sketch of the sand and the sea,
Why seascape’s the word that comes right to me.
’Course meadows and flowers are called a landscape,
But naming these love odes puts me in a scrape

It happened last night to me reading a note
while sighing with warmth of what dear Nancy wrote
This scene needs a ‘scape so we lay in supply
of tissues for lovescapes that make us just cry

Our Nancy, Enchantress, we know both her names,
lays low in the meadows then bursts into flames...
she sands scapes by sea, then horizons she lights,
we know all her names, she's magic's delight!

Should thee but listen, our dear own kayjay...
heed well all that glistens, hear moments of weigh...
for poets will render their hearts held in flight...
you could read through the morning, and then into night!

For Enchantress has sisters, and brothers who wend
each have their words and for pennies will spend
a few gathered moments to assure hearts will mend...
for life can be horrid, and here, we do tend...

to gather us in and give all a new gift...
where hearts hear the song of life that's in lift...

Justbleu, friend and Scorpio,
and can't forget the Mistletoe,
give me heart to write away

Sunshine drops by and with a grin
The best of rhymes coyly tosses in
And Pascal, I thank you for your say.

You are all very kind.  Ken

BC, Ethel and "Passing" too
I give thanks for words from you

You lift my heart like a soaring kite.

Thank you all very much.  KJ
