Someone has not been using
their spellchecker correctly.
My suspicion is that the word
Peacekeeper has been inadvertently
substituted for Piecekeeper.
For it's our determined effort
to keep all the key pieces
of the world's resources
for our own pockets,
it's our duty to
make sure THEY don't
put them into their pockets.
Ah, you call me cynical
unpatriotic
and dozens of other monikers
while shaking your heads
in disgust and dismay.
OK, perhaps I am cynical.
But I am not unpatriotic
according to my own definitions.
My heritage demands
I question,
I seek the truth,
I stand up for what
I believe in,
I honor your rights to disagree,
I speak the truth as I know it.
And I think I see someone
using spellchecker incorrectly
hoping I will believe they mean
only to be Peacekeepers.
Hmm....
And how big a piece of the pie
do we each get to keep?

Kacy, this is a great "piece" of writing and one I'm glad to pick up.  You show a deep fervor in that which you believe in, like the Constitution!  Well done! Ken

My humble thanks to you, Ken, for your reply.
My great great great great(? not sure how many greats) grandfather or uncle, not sure which...Matthew Thornton, signed the Declaration of Independence. I think I've been following some of his footsteps.

Ringo! LOL. Your SW program is dysfunctional.

Ed, I'm not sure what any of them would say or do these days, but I'm positive one Matthew Thornton would honor and defend my rights to speak my mind.
