What does it get you? This human love. There was a glad man walking through the wilderness who would have seen enough - Like raindrops falling in dreams - and people standing all around who don't imagine. No, can't imagine. What a battle really means. The man is subdued and mortified. Pen in hand a weapon which cannot be denied. To think it unholy to put on these clothes. To think it unholy to follow any of those - Shabby treatises. Unholy, unholy that someone might press out another carbon copy of the world. Every now and then a bell might ring and people might gather around. People might pray that being in the right place at the right time would create the fortunate tide. Or they might wring their hands or howl at the moon as a gesture of desire. Sing - Sing - Sing. This is all a song. Something has been done for all of you. It is sometimes difficult to understand how it fits but it has been done for you. The meek wait on the sidelines for the day when all the illusion disinigrates or melts away. They can say - It's not my home with a dome and I put my hands not in the mortar. But in the sky that is my star because it has not been touched so far. Come on your knees or any way you please to a place which has been chosen for you. Don't look around to any dream you think you've found because the eyes get trained to deceive. High - high in the sky are the sun and the moon - They are whole and beckon. "What shall you be" "When will you be" "It is finished but not yet done" Sing Sing Sing It is all a song. |
