Under little White Stars

I see your life in the depth of your eyes
I feel your warmth in the breath of your sighs
You can not hide from what’s real and alive
Let your heart feel what is right

When you encounter the power of love
You cannot battle the forces above
That come to you sweetly on wings of a dove
And little white stars of delight

Deeply I cradle your heart in my own
This kind of comfort you’ve never been shown
Honesty hovers above the unknown
Misgivings will vanish tonight

Let me embrace any fears of the past
Let me undo any shadow that’s cast
The pause of an uncertain footstep at last
Let passion extinguish the fright

You will embrace what you never have felt
Your spirit will kneel where it never has knelt
The fires inside you will tenderly melt
The cage that has hindered your flight

How can you reach what you never have sought
How can you hold what you never have caught
Now is the moment your heart will be taught
Under little white stars of delight

Yes. Oh yes to that.

Thank you for adding this beauty to a Sunday morning in which I truly needed it.

I dont know whats more impressive..
your very clever rhyme scheme and cadence..
or the touching emotions the poem conveys..
and then add the alliterations, assonance, and imagery.
Exquisite write Poetess of Grace..truly!!

I love this so much, Elizabeth... how can you gain if you don't give... how can you reap if you don't risk? *S* And the rhyme scheme is wonderful!!!
