My dynamic selves
force mismatch of life's pieces
ditching me in mess
I must draw the best fit line
to confidently move on

Very cool write!
I especially liked the dynamic selves...so often we forget to take stock of what drive us. Excellent. ThisDiamond

Kaile,

I'll bet I've read this at least five times, mulling it over, deciding if I could relate.

My own denial, often keeps me from knowing who I am. Think I am pass the stage of mess, but, of course the deciding factor will be what happens today, or any day.

Like to say I'm constantly level-headed but I don't lie anymore...grinning here....

I do try to confidently move on, selecting the best of myself especially when dealing with others.

Well, I try.....

You caused me to think and that is the sign of a good poem. My answer, perhaps not all what your intent was.
That's my norm.  Thanks,

And, I do recognize the 5-7-5-7-7, tho. cannot recall the name...

Hugs, Pat

Kaile, your Tanka is wonderful.  I wonder how many of us would admit to more than one self within?  I'm afraid many of us would deny that we have dark thoughts, or weird moments, some of us are ashamed to acknowledge the truths of us that others see but are too polite to mention.

Hence the ditch.

But in drawing upon the best we can do, acknowledging until we know more, know better, educating ourselves with one more step...that is where the confidence comes to move on.

I do wish you had marked this as a book submission for it is truly a fine reflection....
