I strayed too far
and felt the pull of chain
the rattle of thoughts
that keep me bound
submissive
in cell of self
to whim of shadow
dungeon surrendered to
willingly in search of..
I forget now...
These walls
swallow spirit whole
stretching hands
in reach through window
for a feel of sun
as far as chains allow

Those chains that bind and hold us captive.

Goodness Raph, the pain that aches!

Ralph, this one really hurts, too.
I don't know what to say.

The imagination is so powerful, but
Sometime dangerous if not careful.
Freedom, not everybody know,
It's like a soul.

Love this piece and will work on the translation.

Dark. Intense. Packed full of raw emotion coined down by your pen.  Most writer's need pages to turn out that much emotion which you condense into your writings so well.

doesn't the sunshine  make all the difference...

sometimes I feel as if I am in a dungeon
(self-imposed though)

Sad but true. Freedom is not free- in any sense. Your poem brought harsh reality, which is what I look for in a good poem.

Thank you Jason always appreciate when you stop in, and this, I've studied the root of it before and serenity likes to remind me of my namesake, but can one heal themself is the question?
