Two Feathers and a Song

They’ve given up on us
the ducks
all quack and quick eyes
have feathered their heads
and drawn away
from such display

The turn about sky
blows pieces of us around
until my hair is in your hands
and your eyes are the sky

On some ground of feet we
walk around puddles
knowing all the while
it is we that melted
and once took flight across the lake
to soar just two feathers and a song

(smiles) Awwwwwwww, I love this, sweet friend, I love ducks and I just love it when they quack as I always love to go to the lake just to feed them and watch them float across the pond, I especially cry in joy when I see baby ducklings swim behind their parents all in a row! (kiss on cheek) This is breathtaking, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Marti, I believe that Blueserenade described your poetry so well with her reply of:

"Your voice just carries in the wind."
