"Good morning, Sunshine!"
It's so nice to see you here.
You're waking up the daytime
and filling it with cheer.

You're greeting my vacation
with drops of sunny glow;
you might be amazed
at how you warm me so.

It's like a sunshine shower
in the midst of gentle spring;
you caress me with sweet tenderness
while birds tune their songs and sing.

Sundrops sprinkle diamonds
in the dew drops on the grass.
Puppies, kittens play and yawn
as your sunbeams make each pass.

In my imagination,
I curl up within your gleam
clicking off the crosswords
in a lazy-daisy stream.

There's something to be said
for moments of reprise,
they surely soothe the soul
and markedly revive.
