Seymour, the Touch of Delight

The master of image, the eye of the mind
The gold in the twisting and fastening twine
Of ribbon that wraps you in words that have wrought
Aesthetic embraces of pleasure and thought

The godson of wisdom, of lightheartedness
Of phrase that enfolds you in swathing caress
The maker of stardust, of verses that sing
The powdery dust on a butterfly wing

His words are vibrations of harp string in play
The colors of thought in a spectrum’s display
He's a wizard in costume, the mystic surprise
Unleashing the secrets in fathomless eyes

A poetic lover, a touch of delight
The intimate sense in the warmth of the night
The fingers of gentleness stroking the skin
And waking a smoldering ember within

His words float the breeze on a transparent wing
Of melody’s feather that glides into spring
So lightly they hover the sheen of a page
So tenderly tapping the mind of a sage

By a master of phrase and artistic finesse
The sweet realm of poetry surely is blessed

Thank you Sy, for gracing this forum
and enhancing our lives

Elizabeth

Yes indeed...he is all this and more..
and lets not forget Randy is dandy

Liz this is wonderful gifting of verse to our beloved Sy...his daily poetry is the binding of Passions...his rhyme the heartbeat...we have all learned from his spirit and wisdom and are so fortunate and blessed to have the opportunity to get to know this gifted poet and gentle-man.

From our dear Poetess of Grace...a lovely tribute to our Sy-guy.
So sweet of you Lady Santos

Elizabeth

Elizabeth dear a sprightly bouquet
And accepted in the humblest way
If only you knew the truth of my heart
I would never if ever let you depart.

Each meaning and sense is one for each soul
And takes different paths to set each a goal
No words or action can turn it away
But thoughts from the deep can lead it astray.

A generation and more separate us
And time plays the game of omnibus
I would if I could open Pandora’s box
But it would not solve, the paradox.

So thank you again for the sweet of your heart
The wonder and masterly of your art
You offer a feather I offer a flight
Put them together we may have the right.

I cannot say what the future will bring
Perhaps for us the birds will sing.

(smiles) Yay!!! Oh Elizabeth, I agree 100% with you about how talented and a special friend Seymour is, I have no clue how he keeps it up every morning but surely it is all natural and straight from his heart like a butterfly in the meadow! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, you are one of my favorite poets too, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Elizabeth, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
