Should one condemn evil
For the way that it allures
Anymore than one should
Denounce the hawk
In its flight
Or the oceans’ insistence?

Because it is
Simply
What it is
Doing
What it does

Is it possible
To admire evils’ beauty
As one would admire
The radiance of a new day
Or the dark charm
Of a summer night?

Or perhaps
Merely congratulate it
On its persistent seduction

Yes, nodding to the devil himself
is one way to stay humbled...

Well done, Ed...as littlewing said -
you always leave us thinking...

Nice turn -- surprising but inevitable when seen after the fact....

Perhaps good and evil are ultimately illusions for us to experience while role-playing our human lives in this three-dimensional plane of existance...?

Hmmm...I might congratulate evil on it's persistance, but I wouldn't invite it into my home.....again. Chris

Once again, you're charging up brainwaves.
Perhaps they are really one and the same anyway, good and evil...and it's merely our varied perspectives we cling to, with US trying to make sense of the seemingly senseless acts THEY do.

You've ventured far beyond the bowling alley, again.

extremely interesting post, but quite prosaic. almost seems like a thought vignette rathar than a poem.

---well, this isn't exactly an appropriate question to ask an "angel"!*!  LOL

More fodder for the Wranxian ponderances!

Wranx....Evil, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder, I think.  Interesting poem and you.

The dark charm of a summer night!!!
I admire that tremendously!

Evil is as evil does, it's like the devil in disquise...

and he's not invited to rain on MY parade.

Nice wranx~

What is Evil? We walk a fine line everyday and besides morality is created (and exploited) by whoever is in power at the time. On a spiritual level, well, if one believes in god then one believes in devil, and if god allows devil to exist then surely evil has its place? I for one believe god and devil are one..it's all about balance..but that's my stupid opinion
