with a hope for verse to fill the void in front of me Soft whisper dances in the air, soon to meet my ear so I can write down all the thoughts my muse wants me to hear What do I hear? Oh please no! Tell me this ain't true! You want to leave 'cause someone did a cruel thing to you? Oh dear muse, tell me who and I will handle that 'Cause whoever says such things to you, is a heartless brat! So what you say, gentle muse, shall I call the cops? Or maybe this is army-work, but that guy needs to stop! Apologies he owes you dear, for mental pain he caused And think about the time, and writes... these valuables we've lost Perhaps we could go claim some cash, you do deserve a break We could go to Tahiti, the Bahamas or the lake But all that fuss ain't required, I only wish one thing I hope you will forget this fast and soon give me a ring For when I hear your lovely sound, my poor heart skips a beat knowing you will send me lines, my poems to complete So dear muse, take your time, I'll keep awaiting thee But first you need to clear your mind and set your thoughts on free |
