Between the Lines

Unwind My Spring

At times I sit with heart in throat,
the pulsing almost choking me.
Behind the thoughts rise worry more,
than eyes can show the fear in see.

These days bring out the wastefulness
of timeless searching for answers, none.
I sit alone with heart in throat,
feeling the ache of "never done".

I word my thoughts to speak my mind
though sometimes emotion counter acts.
I'm troubled more than others see
inside, it piles, the truth of fact.

To take a walk, unwind my spring
along the tracks of yesterday,
I see you there, awaiting me
with long of stride and candid sway.

This I do to change my thoughts,
to lessen feels of "never done"
with hope that someday I'll concede
and grant myself as "number one".

M

Yes, my friend.
We are indeed, on the same path...
let's walk in silence, shall we?

words so true, I too have felt the build-up, being troubled more than the others could see.  I enjoyed this piece very much, the style was good.

Sometimes number one lets others go first, not just to appease someone else, but to please themselves...and I am not convinced that is such a bad thing.

It's a fine line....between them~

Love and hugs Maureen~
