The Silent Pen

A poet pen lays silent now, its words forever rest
It left a poet’s heart as its most radiant bequest
A cherished wealth of verses has been imbedded there
Indelibly inscribed the poems to which the world is heir

No greater gift is given than the contents of a heart
That still remains among these pages never more to part
I will forever hold the love that in this place was scrolled
I honor words that humbly left a mark upon my soul

Liz

(sigh) Oh Elizabeth, this is lovely, sweet friend, and your gorgeous words always leave lasting impressions on our hearts and some of the imagery you've shared with us before still deeply touches me, just as Lyra's words will never be forgotten as they were ever so filled with love and graceful and always will be! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Elizabeth, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

We shall cherish every word ever written

This is wonderfully beautiful! It makes me think of all the poets who may not be here but their words will forever be.

Thank you, Lyra for opening your heart
Thank you poets for allowing her love to become a part of us, so that these words had meaning and comfort.
A big hug in outstretched arms all around the room. May we continue her legacy of enthusiasm for the love of life and her inspiration to enjoy every moment of every day. What a sweetheart!
Liz
