Speak not to me of long agoes,
Of winters past and melted snows,
For once have beens do not exist,
Except in swirls of memory's mist.

No footprints lay in paths traversed,
By winds of time long since dispersed,
So onward I on cobbled stone,
Seek out the night, I walk alone.

North winds call, come follow me,
Trust in my touch and you shall see,
No turning back, down darkened path,
As up ahead lays unknown wrath.

What dangers lie, what dires portend?
It matters not, as on path wend.

So I shan't speak of what once was,
lest it give you still and heavy pause,
but t'would speak with whispered ease,
that remembering should give release...

Ah Tim, thank you for the inspiration...
