Whose hand wielded the brush
Is not mine to say
Allah, God, or any of the other names
We poor humans assign to him or her
Is not important.

I do know…
The sky burned red this morning
And not from distant fires
But from a sunrise
Water colored on the sky
In hues I can not
Do justice with words
Like rose or red.

Seeing this reminded me
How small we are
And how insignificant the words
Or ideas put on paper can seem
But realized too
Someone painted us
And we are like the sky I saw
Early this morning

Indescribable

I believe that you have succeeded in describing the indescribable...

Amazing...I too cannot find the words at times..
especially for sunrises and sunsets, mountains and oceans...etc.
Some things just have to be seen, or felt, or heard, or...you understand, I know.

"Indescribable" sums it up perfectly. I enjoy this very much.

But we try - and that is the important part - we try to describe, and admit when we can't, and leave the awesome belief behind, that it was seen, and you shared...

Capt. Ron, I have a very hard time describing
my feelings exactly the way I feel them.
But, you are always describing the
indescribable very decribably well.
(is that a word..."describably"?)

Heart Hugs to you,

Nice thoughts.  Anything which causes me to feel insignificant and think of our Creator is a good way to start the day. And, when I see those gorgeous sunrises, or contemplate that before me in many forms of life, I cannot help but lower my head and whisper: "thank you", to my God, as I understand Him to be.

I liked the humbleness of this poem.

Hugs, Pat

When I was a kid I 'borrowed' a friends motorcycle and went on an extended ride.     I still remember the sunset, I actually stopped the bike on the side of the road and watched it.  When I returned the bike hours later, I felt different because of that sunset.  You're right, sometimes there are no words...

Ron...There are so many big and glorious things...we are one of them...yet still so small.  Loved the introspective color of this poem.  Hugs!

Your sunrise was absolutely gorgeous... You have written it well enough for us to have shared it with you.

Ditto what RF just said.
And yet, the sunrise's reality pales in comparison to what I believe it could be if we would allow it's truest hue to bleed through.

Beautiful attempt to grab the infinite beauty showering us all the time. Our eyes  behold moments that simply are overwhelming and if words can't do justice, our hearts do.

This is quite the beautiful poem. Very thought provoking. Makes me wonder...We are always at eachothers throats all the time and when it comes down to it, It's not what's best for us or anyone...We are all the same in certain ways and we all make mistakes and we all do things to set us apart from others...We are a masterpiece in the making...Like a giant painting with it's flaws...NOTHING is perfect...Very, very insightful! Thanks for sharing it with me and everyone else!

we are just that, but isnt it amazing what it takes sometimes to remind us? the sunrise, the sunsets....and sometimes there really are no words to say that would give meaning or justice....this is most amazing....almost haunting in this time....

Thank you for always being so sincere, and for making me think.... hugsssss
