Land Of Misfits...

0 posted 2003-03-23 07:37 PM

There was a lack of soft air
as the spring sun rose in the horizon.
A mind flutters of thoughts of spring passion
though the heart caves when there is an absence
of a lover, of a friend.

Upon the chest of an untouched soul
lies a simple heart, wishing for anothers touch.
A rememberance of the feeling of arms wrapped
around your sides comforting your mind,
there is no longer thoughts of security.

A rose petal glides past a rosie cheek,
a gentleness of passion to sweep you off your feet.
Though looking down the road, two virgin eyes
ponder where the footprints are, the footprints of love
to kindle your absence of another.

Clouds brush an eventful sky, forming into dreams
the imagination thrives upon.  For a simple tear glides past the cheek
cooling the red cheek as the rememberance of letting go,
of anothers hand, to become who the person the mirror shines upon you.

Now lost and alone, there is no longer
a dream to thrive upon.

This is a beautiful poem. But it made me sad
kind of. I loved your descriptions of everything,
though. It's a very good book submission.

Alix, I'm thrilled to see you made it into the book. I see Lance made it too. I'm so glad that both of you came over here to Pip and started posting here. Seeing so many of the poets from Sparks come over here and post their wonderful words of verse warms my heart. I know that we were all looking for a place with people who would be warm and welcoming. We sure found it, didn't we?

Congratulations to you my dear friend.
