Turn your head & do not speak
lest again I am made weak
caught on tides & washed ashore
begging for your love once more

Pretend somehow you do not see
this wretched, desperate need in me
to know at last your sweet affection
without the fear of your rejection

Please be gentle, please...
be kind
to this fragile heart of mine
do not sing those tender songs
that lead me captive all day long

Turn your head & do not speak
lest again I am made weak
caught upon the tides once more
lost along love's lonely shores...
Sunkissed.

Even though the sadness in this touched
my heart, it is written so beautifully.
I really enjoyed reading it.

This poem sends me to memories of sitting on the beach under a purple, moonless sky. Sitting there doing some soul searching. God knows I have done this many times LOL

Beautiful writing

You've written very eloquent in this poem, as has already been stated, very sad yet beautiful.

Absolutely, a book poem.
ESPECIALLY LIKED THIS:

Turn your head & do not speak
lest again I am made weak
caught upon the tides once more
lost along love's lonely shores...
