These sapphire skies lift my thoughts to you
So vast, a freedom that becomes my cosset
As cotton shadows changing shapes and capes
I miss you in the ticks of long and lost
As morn would stretch to catch the daybreak dew

Somehow my heart was stretched in un-sewn seam
Sometime ago, another dream, I left so surely empty
And silent to the self until your eyes conveyed surprised
I miss you in the ticks of long and lost
To ramble in the tremble of the leaves soft color scheme

And still, the shell pink drink of surfaced shy, by sky
So soft, that welcome that I hold in places, graces wide
As warm as fur to tender to, my body nestles in contented
I miss you in the ticks of long and lost
Where once the scope, by now the hope, in sapphire lullaby

Kathleen, this is beautiful. I
love the way you rhymed the
first and last line of each verse, too.

A virtual melody of words and lines.  This sings with such a contented beauty I cannot imagine a more complete statement made.  Very, very nice.

You speak to the heart of me you do.

Your poetry reads like a prism in the light
that sparkles so beautifully.
