I found a broken body on the steps,
with shattered wings and feathers all awry.
I found his broken body on the steps,
but where shall I look for his broken mind?
A broken shadow tangled in the nets,
it beats and flutters, trying hard to fly.
A crippled flower captured in the nets,
but all that makes a man was left behind.
Wild beasts attack and suffer no regrets,
no misty teardrops and no whispered sigh.
How would a beast know ought of soft regret
when pity runs through men like watered wine?
A wine-red stain upon the broken steps,
a shattered shadowed beast that I can’t find.

This is just awesome. I don't like to use that word, it almost sounds cliche, but this is really just awesome.
